How to get listed in the godcastpodcast.com directory at easypeasy.com?

easypeasy.com is now collecting sites that publish Christian Podcasts (I like the name "Godcasts") to list in a new directory.

About Christian Podcasts

It's actually staggering the number of free Christian (audio) resources that are available on the internet/web, but the two great problems are 1) How do you find them, and 2) How do you know if they are any good?

Apple's iTunes podcasting initiative (i.e. by integrating podcasts into the itunes store) is going some way to make podcasts easier to find for ipod user - but frankly, it doesn't even begin to scratch the surface in terms of the total amount of material that is available. What's more, there's no evidence of a review process, so who knows what you're getting.

What's so exciting is that these podcasts are an incredible new way for broadcasters to evangelise and reach out to the World, and for listeners to find and study Christian material at a time and place that suits them. Now car journeys, train journeys, walks in the park, exercise sessions, shopping trips, even bedtime can be places where the Holy Bible, Bible Study and theology can be accessed quickly and conveniently. Never before has it been possible to deliver and spread God's Word so easily and immediately.

Bringing unity, simplified access and more listeners

In light of this (and for some time now) I have felt compelled to play my part in this revolution, and one obvious contribution is to provide a directory of such material and better still,  reviews and classification where possible.

This will leverage the strengths and popularity of the easypeasy.com site, infrastructure and brand. In preparation I have registered www.godcastpodcast.com but it will take time for it to gain momentum. In the meantime, any Godcast related content is being published at easypeasy.com (but you can still use the new domain name).

In order to build that momentum I am now calling for Christian broadcasters to register their podcasts and audio feeds at easypeasy.com where they will be listed (and where possible reviewed and classified).

There are distinct advantages in doing this, since easypeasy.com is a popular site with a very strong page rank. Links from easypeasy.com to your site will improve your page rank, will ultimately will improve its visiblity and draw more users, improving its popularity and allowing your good message to be heard by a wider audience. I can practically guarantee that within a few days of us listing your site, you will be featuring in Google's search results.

Can you design a logo?

Normally I do all the web development and graphic design myself, but I thought it would be wonderful to see what inspiration other people can come up with. Do you fancy designing a logo for godcastpodcast.com? It needs to be fresh and youthful (I think) and preferably in photoshop format? Fancy having a go?
